Data Engineer

I’m currently recruiting for a data engineer based in Dublin. This is an initial 6-month contract focusing on hybrid working, strong day rate available.

About the Role

• Join a data engineering team responsible for building and maintaining scalable ETL/ELT pipelines across cloud-based data platforms.
• Work with data from multiple sources, transforming and integrating datasets to support analytics, reporting and machine learning.
• Help improve data quality, governance, monitoring and pipeline reliability while contributing to engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Previous experience building scalable data pipelines, with solid SQL and Python, Java or Scala skills.
• Previous technical experience with cloud technologies and large-scale datasets, with experience in Snowflake or Databricks.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, DevOps practices and collaborative Agile environments.

Desirable

• Experience with Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, ADF or Airflow.
• Exposure to AWS, Azure or GCP and ML engineering.
